Blackshear...for God's sake son!

You got everything in the world going for you and you have to go stupid on us. What are you thinking or not thinking? Pay the price.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

When I read that Blackshear had broken into a military officer's home and stole a purse and safe, he was dead to me.

We don't want him around here.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

If true that he broke into a home, then he should be toast. Period. That is no just a kid being stupid.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

Agreed. If that is what happened he obviously needs to lose his scholarship. I want to win but letting those who do stupid $hit like this play is wrong! Ill take a loss if it means he doesn't wear a Gamecock jersey. Maybe Auburn could pick him up.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

If he can carry a safe and a purse at the same time we need him on defense.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

He must have had permission to be in there. Day time break in= 2nd degree burglary; night time=1st degree. Both felones. These charges are not. However I believe he should be dismissed.

OK. I laughed. Hahahaha! Despite our frustration. Appreciate the levity.**

GOCOCKS! BEATVANDY! BEATFU! BEATGA!

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

Let's not rush to judgment. Maybe he found the purse and the safe and was returning it to its proper owner.

right. I found this purse on your bedroom dresser, and this safe bolted to the floor of your bedroom closet. You must have dropped it.

I've been reading the book, "The Klondike Fever". Story of the "Klondike Goldrush" in the Yukon territory.

During 1897, in the town of Skagway, this was how they handled a thief who stole from a "cache" along the White Pass Trail. A
"committee" was elected to deal with the crime. They tied thief to a post by his tent, then executed him by pumping him full of bullets from their guns. Then they left the cadaver hanging on the post for days, as an example of how justice was taken care of concerning thieves in Skagway.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

this is exactly why i refuse to give a shit about recruits until they actually hit the field and do something

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

Get the pitchfork, rope, and torches...boys! Jesus Christ, can we wait and see what actually did occur before we lynch him? Thanks SC.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

They should revoke his ship. That's just being a coward thug. Why do these funders wanna go in people's house when they aren't home. He through go play somewhere else.

Not what happened...maybe know the actual facts before hiding behind your keyboard and pecking out your BS.

What if the charges are dropped against Blackshear? What will

happen then relative to his scholarship? I'm not saying that would be a good thing or a bad thing. I'm simply asking what would in all likelyhood happen?

Which is why any action USC may take needs to wait until after his trial.

Re: What if the charges are dropped against Blackshear? What will

..you mean like SC waited when they revoked Michael Bowman' and James Thompson scholarship offer.

That was a offer to bowman. The papers have been signed on this recruit already.

I think all of us would like to know the actual facts. Apparently you know, like to share?

Just came across a supposed tweet from Blackshear on another fan site. "Still Carolina bound and ya'll still mad. Hate on me when I am on your tv soon." The humility and regret for what he supposedly did is astounding, dont you think?
I realize we dont know the whole story, but IF what he is alleged to have done really happened and he did steal that woman's purse - and rather than come back with an attitude of humility and regret and asking for forgiveness, this was his response to what he did - If its true and the coaches do not kick his tail to the curb, I will never look the same on the coaching staff. Make excuses all you want. The kid DID NOT make "a mistake" - he is a thief and a thug. Get tired of seeing these kids with opportunities that most of us could only dream of rubbing their thuggery and their thievery and arrogance in our faces. He does not deserve the opportunities he has been given if that is his attitude and should be dismissed tomorrow.

Supposedly, he made another recent loving, kind, upstanding tweet as well - "White People. F 'em."
I am hoping that somehow, his twitter page was hacked and this will all turn out to be bs, but I wouldnt count on it....

I saw mention of this on the insider's forum... Disturbing if true.

Re: What if the charges are dropped against Blackshear? What will

I'm just thinking since we guarantee scholarship now it might be a little harder to get rid of a player now. Of course they probably have stipulations built in as well.

Coaches need to nip this now. This is a problem in the making.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

Who cares, he plays a sport where half of the game involves laying as brutal a hit on the other player as possible, often leaving guys with debilitating injuries and concussions that travel with them for life.

You have to check integrity at the door when watching football.

Just cut 'em loose. Life is too short. He didn't get caught smoking pot; he stole and showed no regret. College football is a privilege.

Re: What if the charges are dropped against Blackshear? What will

The scholarship guarantee won't stop them from dismissing Blackshear if they want to. I don't think they will. Does anyone really think they stopped recruiting Bowman because they took some moral stand against what he did? I find that laughable. They stopped recruiting Bowman because they were no longer sure he could get in to school with this offense on his record and they could use his scholarship to recruit another good player easily. It's the fact that the recruiting season is over an Blackshear's spot can't be replaced by someone near his talent this year that is the difference. So now we wait and see if Blackshear can get in.

I wouldn't be so sure If I was SB. Even if the coaches assured him everything is okay, it may not be entirely up to the coaches.

Not sure the scholarship really matters in these type of cases. If they have talent and are good enough someone will take them. He won't stay just to get an education if he can't play.

Re: Blackshear...for God's sake son!

For those who say wait and see what really happened. You are just waiting for his coaches, family and support group to spin this thing..They may even be able to get the charges dropped... Bottom line: The police had enough evidence to arrest him for a felony...End of story...cut him loose from the Gamecock program...

How can you say that, oh right this is the USA where we no one is ever wrongfully arrested, charged, imprisoned or executed! Yes sir the police are always right and never make mistakes. BTW petty larceny is a misdemeanor not a felony.
