I wish you would list his top Qb, RB, and rec each year. He won’t come close to that talent here next year

As I've said in a few other threads, Bobo's primary value is that he was a good recruiter and developer of QBs. That said, the drop-off after he left was partly due to the fact that he hadn't recruited a decent QB to follow Aaron Murray. It got so bad they had to take a grad transfer who couldn't win the job at UVA (Lambert). This is the timeframe when he failed to recruit Deshaun Watson. But he got a very early commitment from Jacob Eason before he left UGA, so the QB drought didn't last very long. I should also point out that Stafford, Murray, and Eason were all national recruits from out-of-state that he convinced to come to Athens.

Meanwhile, UGA had future NFL RBs on their roster virtually every single year under Bobo, but that was true both before and after Bobo as well.

The big criticism of Bobo (and Richt) in terms of offensive production, was that they never recruited particularly well at OL. It was often their weakest position group. So, despite all those stud RBs, they weren't particularly good in short yardage or red zone situations. Also, despite a string of elite QBs, they rarely signed elite WRs. AJ Greene was a notable exception, but possibly the only exception during Bobo's tenure.

We need someone to develop receivers
Maybe he can recruit some wr

If you don't like someone, then you will find any reason to not like the hire. I think it's a great hire and we will improve. We will still have the hate Muschamp crowd regardless of the accomplishments...

Jim Chaney is better than Coley or Bobo.

But a lot has to do with talent at QB, RB and WR. Other than Pickens (Tr Freshman) UGA had nothing at WR this year.

I think any of us could've had the same results as Bobo at UGA. lol. Turn around and hand it off to any number of NFL backs. Guess what we dont have next year? NFL Rbs and NFL Wrs. We really needed an innovator but went the safe route.

What are the accomplishments? 3rd offensive coordinator in 4 years? 4 wins? Getting clobbered by Clemson again? App State?

Amazes me that people think a good OC cannot change their style according to the players they have at their disposal. If I'm not mistaken, when SOS adjusted his style we won 11 games a season.

Good OCs know how to prepare the guys he have not the ones he had. Why would we need to have UGAs roster to be able to beat UGA? Didn't we do that this year without it?

I don't mind staying around 30's or better, it that 103 or 115 ranking kind of piss ant think that kills your season...

I think the "lack of talent at WR" talking point has been overdone with UGA this year. Cager was pretty darn good, Pickens was undisciplined but an athletic freak, Demetris Robinson was a former 5-star who racked up pretty strong numbers as a freshman at Cal, and Dominick Blaylock was good as well.

The problem wasn't the WR talent or depth. It was an OC that was constantly running the ball between the tackles against 8 men in the box on 1st and 2nd down, then attempting a sideline pass on 3rd and long.

In short, coaching matters.

All that matters are Bobos numbers going forward
Should be pretty easy for a quality OC to greatly improve our offensive stats
