Notice how they are always absent on the board after a win, yet they are right there when we're losing in any sport to complain about (insert topic here: coaches, players, AD, facilities, etc). Go figure. Oh yea, and don't forget the proverbial "sunshine pumper vs realists" responses when all else fails for them.

I've had no problem with Andys comments in general, I think alot of people do by like reality. This is not 2010/2011 anymore.

What wins are we talking about here? Aren't we like we're about to go on a 1-7 streak after our last win against Kentucky two weeks ago?

Supposed to be. But the pumpers are the first to scream BAN when a realist doesn't agree with them.

Did it ever occur to you for an instance that maybe they don't like losing?

I guess you guys are..

Probably the same ones that thought our defense progressed last football season.

Fact is aside from women's basketball we aren't very good in any major sport right now. And it's a shame in the case of football and baseball to have fallen this far. We were on the dagum cusp of elite and pissed it away. Like a Coors light at the golf course. We were elite in baseball but now lucky to be middeling.

Frank Martin will be a bright spot very soon for men's basketball. He inherited a mess... Messes take time to fix.

No excuses for the other two.

And right on cue..............the four horsemen chime in to help their counterparts. Glad I posted this, cause I couldn't remember the other 4 or 5 of you that run in the same pack. Comical to say the least. But I'm glad you're here to keep it fun.

No pack here.

But if you think things are looking up I want what your drinking.

Seriously we would be bankrupt if we ran a business like our major programs right now.

Here's my reality, which may shock you but probably aligns with yours at the present:

Women's basketball was actually lucky to win last night IMO. They looked tentative and nervous the whole game and NC looked calm and focused. Glad it worked out for us but we can't play like that again and win the next round. Bottom line, appears everyone is playing for 2nd to UConn anyway.

Baseball, stinking it up right now, and I don't get the feeling we're going to do much in the post season (if we get to the post season). Yeah, I also miss the excitement of the 3 straight CWS Championship series.

Football, last year sucked overall. With even a below average defense, instead of a pitiful defense, we win 10 or 11 games. Not what I wanted or expected, but it is now our reality. With the addition of Hoke, I think we can improve the D but now I'm worried the offense will take a step back. That's my opinion and I hope I'm dead wrong.......... Bottom line, I'm still optimistic but we'll see. If we do the same thing this year, then yeah, I'll start thinking we're really back sliding.

Men's basketball - I saw some good things this year, and plenty of bad..........but I do feel like we're at least moving forward. Need some shooters to help big time, but I think Martin will get it done. If not, we'll know soon enough. This year will be very telling as to our progress or lack of it.

Other sports: I don't really care and wish them all well. Sorry, but when I hear our women's soccer team loses a game, I don't lose any sleep. As a Gamecock fan, I want us to win everything in every sport, but there's only so much one can care about.

Well I'm confused now.

What was the purpose of your post if you actually see the same things we are seeing?

TN, I hope you actually DO care about all USC sports. I can appreciate not investing energy in following them all. I care that all USC sports do well and represent the school well, whether or not I follow the particular sport's games closely. Please don't lose any sleep regardless of which team loses

Bosox and Andy, it would help your cause if y'all showed up and posted something positive after a Gamecock victory as well.

Good points. I do hope they all do well, just don't follow them so I couldn't tell you if they are or are not. I'd rather hear the women's soccer team won a game, but there's other things in life that have my attention. Don't confuse "don't lose any sleep" with not wishing them to do well.

They say the way people approach things is a true reflection of what is going on in their lives. If that's true, seems to be a lot of misery going on in people's lives if what they post on here is a reflection of that.

Really reaching there, garnetman. Not seeing a correlation between the baseball team underperforming and people's personal problems.

Really reaching there, garnetman. Let's keep the subject on sports.
The thread started out with not really having anything to do with sports. The thread jumped on two people on this board and then other people jumped on him. Both approaches are a little personal and IMO, that happens too often on here. Comments and points can be made without labeling posters because you don't agree with what they post. So I thought I would "share" a few thoughts about the general vibes that are given out by some people on this board. That's all.

You're right though. Board would be better off if people just stuck to discussing sports. So I stand corrected.

Is the OP an idiot?.. And to put me in the same sentence as Andy.... Put down the pipe

He is all over the place with his statements. None of it makes any sense. Hope he wasnt driving a vehicle at that time.. he's not safe to be on the road.

Yes I'm a positive guy, I believe in Ray Tanner and believe in his decision when he hired Hollbrook, I believe Frank Martin will turn the bball program around...

.... Again the OP is off his rocker

Keep on being one of those sunshine pumpers being the fact that you haven't attended Any Gamecock sporting event in six years, lmao. I'll stick with being a realest, and keep to the facts! What would you like to debate?

I know this doesn't apply to me, but I only post when I'm on the computer. I don't get on the computer much outside of work so I don't really post often during nights and weekends. I hope no one thinks I'm a sunshine pumper since I post at different times of the week. I try to post when I have time honestly.

On a different note, great day for the Lady Gs. Excited to maybe go to Tampa and see them play!
