Boy, the Braves miss Craig Kimbrell!

well if the ump calls the obvious swing on the 3rd strike, it's game over and Braves win...Hard to blame a pitcher who struck the last man out swinging..That loss is on the umpire behind the plate

Was smart to trade him and get some value. They didn't exactly have many save opportunities the last two years.

They didn't trade him because they wanted to. They traded him because they had to, to get rid of B.J. Upton. It is true that they realized they wouldn't be a very good team for a couple of years, but that doesn't mean someone sat in a room and had a bright idea for trading Craig Kimbrel. It was a sacrifice.

Still would not make sense to have a top flight closer during these rebuilding years. With or without the need to jettison Upton, Kimbrel would have been gone at some point. Needed to get value from him before he was eligible for free agency. And they did.

Freddie Freeman is a beast. I wished our hitters knew how to get their head out over their shoulders and to the ball like he does! That's why he can hit it to all filled with power

Padres agreed to assume all 46 million left on Upton's contract. That made the deal a no Brainer.

Coppellela has proven to be capable. The Matt Adam's deal has been a good one.

Plenty of pitchers out there like Archie Bradley, Tommy Kahnle capable of being elite closers, just need a shot.
