Welcome to another edition of Gamecock Central Braves Baseball ⚾️ World Series Chat. I am your host @Pfunk Cock along with the plethora of regular participants in the chat. We are on the precipice of something great. We have felt over excited and confident just last year with a 3-1 lead over the Dodgers and doubt was our downfall. We doubted the resolve to overcome any fluke play, doubted that we could get an out during threats and doubted we could get a hit when we needed it mostly. There is no doubt . This is not last season and these are hit the Dodgers. We broke that curse and our demons have been exorcised. Now it is time to quench our thirst for something greater. That is the satisfaction of a celebratory post game drink 🍺 as Champions of the world .😎

Pregame Analysis
We have all been strategizing pitching scenarios ever since Morton went down in game one and the Braves activated Tucker Davidson. We know he pitched early this season to great success but have heard Nary a peep about his rehabilitation innings. I have no idea how long he has been stretched out , how effective he will be nor what his favorite Chocolate candy is in a bar argument (Shout out to @Mike Uva ) 😎😎. I am still a snickers man 😎😎. We do know that he had made the rotation before he was felled by injury. He has the ability to throw in the upper 90’s but he was actually throwing on the lower 90’s with much better control and developed a nasty slider. He likes to pitch low in the strike zone and produce ground balls. If he is indeed pitching to contact and results are ground balls he should have a very good outing forever how long his stamina holds up. I am sure the bullpen will be at the ready and anxious to close this thing out on the home turf.
The Astros are throwing game one starter Framber Valdez. The Braves were able to get to him the first rime they faced him but he was also hammered his first outing against the Red Sox before elevating his game for 8 shutout innings the next time he faced them. This tells me he makes adjustments after watching film and has the ability to adapt. He , however, has never pitched in Truist Park much less The Post Season Version replete with Drums, Chants, Chopping and the constant roar of anticipation. He has the weight of the season upon his shoulders and the first batter he will face homered his first swing in the series against him. No pressure right? 🤔🤔 Yes Davidson is making his first start since his injury but he is pitching in a familiar place, with the crepes behind him as well as the best infield in baseball.
