Good evening all. The Eastern Division leading Atlanta Braves return home tonight to face the Chicago White Sox. The road trip started off phenomenal with sweeps of the Marlins and Mets and then the makeup game from hell with a trip from New York to Colorado for an afternoon game and then a flight right back to Toronto for two nights before the trip back to Atlanta and a much much needed off day. Hopefully the players took advantage of that time to rejuvenate as the weather and travel can drain energy quickly and sap the reserves as well.
The Braves will start their lefty outfield corners of Joyce and Ortega. Dansby will start at shortstop and Flowers will be the catcher unfortunately. The Braves will be him for an extended period as the White Sox, The Bluejays and the Nationals will all visit SunTrust. The Braves have 27 games remaining in the regular season and have an airside shot of actually winning 100 games by going 19-8 to finish the season.
The 25 man roster will be expanded on Sunday and you can expect several names to be on that list. McCann will be activated from the IL, Darren O’Day May be activated, Jackson should be and I expect Wilson , Wright And Jeremy Walker. Minter May join the club as well as Sobotka and Carmargo, Duvall.
