Congratulations to Coach McClendon. Their fans seem happy about it. Does not seem to be a candidate for the top spot buy nice to see him get a shot at the bowl prep.

The question you have to ask yourself, why was McClendon promoted to interim head coach over Offensive Coordinator Joe Moorhead?

You do know McClendon was an interim head coach at UGA for the bowl game, won the bowl game and ended up being hired by Muschamp when Kirby Smart didn't need McClendon service's... Just saying...

Joe Moorhead took the Akron job.

I feel like y'all are holding his tenure as OC against him. He was too predictable, his devotion to only play RPO hurt our capacity to dictate the game and his run game was so simple and limited, but it seems there were a lot causing things bit to click for us.

It will be interesting to see how he does.

2019 was a tough spot, having to unexpectedly play a true freshman QB then a injured true freshman QB, and I'm sure having to infuse Muschamp's bonehead idea's into the game plan didn't help things.

McClendon was terrible while he was at Carolina. You can't stay somewhere 4-5 years.....and you not be part of the problem IF (like in this case) an offense was that bad. WM was on record as giving control to the offensive guys...even when he had a hand in gameday HC calls...he relied on his offensive staff to help find, recruit, develop/coach and get production out of their offense. It was miserable.

He's done it before... he was the interim coach for UGA's bowl game when they canned Richt.
