I think the pieces are coming together for CS to come back home to Georgia and play for the Birds. It maybe a long shot but with his OC coming over to Hotlanta from Cleveland its a possibility especially as the number 2 behind M. Ice. Shanahan favors a mobile QB and I don't think there is a strong number 2 so how cool would that be to see Shaw throwing to Julio. If I remember correctly Shanahan was RGII offensive co which could help Shaw if things don't work out in Cleveland.

Pfffff....I would hope and think he has an out on that deal. Plus he has to make the Browns. I could see it. Who is the Falcons #2 now?

Three year deal only matters if he's on the 53 man roster.
Any team can sign a player off another teams practice squad, he's still browns property right now but if he doesn't make the team he's up for grabs.

It'd better be Matty throwing to Julio, and Shanahan had better store his notes on 'mobile QB's' if he gets the OC job in ATL. He'll be dealing with Matt Ryan. In the pros, running QB's are BS. You'd better make all your throws from the pocket and only move when you have to.

Tell that to Russell Wilson.

I swear some of the stuff people write on hear. I agree that guys that take off and run will never change the NFL, but guys that scramble in the pocket and throw like Wilson are the most sought after.

This is the 3rd straight Super Bowl with a mobile quarterback playing. What has Matt Ryan ever won?

Wilson throws well in the pocket. He also throws well on the run. That doesnt make him a 'running QB'. Some of you college only fans make me laugh. You REALLY think Tim Tebow and Johnny Manziel were destined to be good, they were just 'mishandled'. College success is less than/does not equal pro success.

LOL! Two SB's with the same guy that is a mobile guy but not a running guy. The other one you want to throw up LOST! To a pocket guy. Wilson is a lot like Young but neither guy is a 'run first' guy. Aaron Rogers can run when he has to. Ryan has been known to run....when he has to. Some of you yokels dont know the difference do you?

Who said anything about a "running guy"? You added "running guy" and resorted to name calling because your argument was refuted.

You did! You think mobile means duel threat. That dont fly NFL. I think the word mobile gets lost in your craniums somewhere. You dont really know the difference between run first and mobile or able to run. Your argument that a mobile QB is in the third straight SB holds no water. Shall I post the list of SB winners with pocket guys? Id love to. Shall I?

If Atlanta cant improve their line play especially with Mike Tice gone they are going to need a mobile back up. Ice is getting killed back there and a couple more seasons of getting his bell rung might change the pocket passer mentality. Personally I think Shaw will be in Cleveland next year practice squad or not.
