Can we get Virgina offensive coor now?

No, it wasn't a wash. Not even close. Bobo wasn't playing half the season with a zero star FCS Catholic school QB after 2 starters were injured.

It's not shtick. It's fact.
Oh. So you're talking about comparing last year's QBs to this year's? Well.

Bobo chose to start a gimpy G5 QB that was getting beat out at CSU instead of grooming an Elite 11 QB. This year Satterfield started a lead-footed, out of shape GA over Brown, who HE helped recruit, IIRC.

Either way, all QBs this year went 2-2. But Brown BY FAR had the biggest wins. And he only started because of injuries.

We played 8 SEC teams in common with last year's schedule. Last year, we scored 20 TDs.

Care to guess how many TDs we scored this year against the same 8 teams this year?
We finished almost 20 spots lower in total offense one year over the other -- with 3 OOC patsies factored in.

Care to guess which one?

TDs matter, not yards and rankings against different teams from different years.

In those 8 common games, we scored 20 TDs last year. How many this year?

Actually, rankings do matter. It's a good gauge of how efficient and effective offenses are over the course of a season.

Also, how many of those TDs were defensive TDs? 🤔

No, actual results on the field matter.

And I didn't count defensive TDs. Just offensive.

If you're only counting offensive touchdowns, then what about the "we averaged less than 20 offensive points per game" statistic? That's without counting field position from turnovers that resulted in gimmes instead of defensive touchdowns. Or the being shutout in the first half in 1/4 of our games and our QBs being pressured in half or more of all passing attempts (many times completely untouched).

Beamer overall did great. Our defense turned it around big time and was one of the strengths of our team. The offense regressed and showed that Satterfield ain't ready for OC at South Carolina.
