Playing in the Cure Bowl on 12/17 against N. Illinois. Seems like a slap in the face to put them in one of the lowest tier bowl games against a total nobody opponent.
Agreed.Playing in the Cure Bowl on 12/17 against N. Illinois. Seems like a slap in the face to put them in one of the lowest tier bowl games against a total nobody opponent.
Why is that a slap in the face? They finished fourth in the Sunbelt so why would that get them a bigger bowl than Louisiana, App State or Georgia State who all finished ahead of them?
For a football program that started not long ago, they seem to be doing alright.Come on…they are widely regarded as one of the top G5 teams. They would have rolled us this year but we are going to a considerably better bowl.
It is totally commensurate with who they are, the league they are in, and the season they had.Playing in the Cure Bowl on 12/17 against N. Illinois. Seems like a slap in the face to put them in one of the lowest tier bowl games against a total nobody opponent.
Sure. But 6-2 and 10-2 in the SEC is a completely different thing. There were 3 teams in the Sunbelt that won 10 or more games and 4 teams that won 6 or more conference games.True. Though 6-2 and 10-2 is pretty good...I would certainly take it for Carolina. They're a good team, and are the type of team that will show well in a bowl (their HC seems to constantly have this effect on his teams). All games matter.

Depends on when they played us. First half of the season you are probably right. They had injuries that hurt them later in the season, including their Qb.They would have rolled us this year
Or beat Ga State at home and you don’t have to worry about this bowl…It's not a slap in the face. It's called contractual relationships between their conference and the bowls. If they don't like it, try to get in a better conference.
