Monday, January 2nd 2012 the Gamecocks capped the first 11 win season in school history. It took Spurrier 7 seasons to do that. Before that, we had no more than 9 wins in a season under Spurrier.(year 6) Muschamp has already delivered a 9 win season. (year 2)
We are currently in year 4 of the Muschamp era and already suffered a loss to what is considered an inferior team. During year 4 of the Spurrier era, the Gamecocks lost to Vandy...VANDY and 3 different QBs started a game that year. We were all calling for a QB change and getting onto Muschamp for being too loyal. Pretty sure we were also complaining about Spurrier changing QBs too often. Anyone else remember the game where he swapped QBs every single play?
Point being, we're getting the QB change, albeit due to injury. So maybe we can relax a little bit on calling for Muschamp to be fired. I was on that bandwagon earlier, but I'm thinking more clearly now.
