Chloe Kitts traveling with team to South Dakota State.

Shes a good looking girl. If she plays up to her reputation she may end up being a big time NIL athlete like that gymnast from LSU.

Watch it or you will be accused of being sexist. In all seriousness, she could use her looks to get some pretty sweet NIL deals and before the sexism warrior starts in there are attractive males that fit that mold as well. My wife would buy anything Austin Riley is selling.

Maybe so, but she looked really good in the Charleston Southern game. She ended with 10 points, one of which was a 3. She handles the ball very well and seems to have natural defending ability. I’m anxious to see how she fares against SEC competition. Based on her performance against CSU, she’s sure to see more playing time.

Some people are going to be negative towards anything Coach Staley does. They complain about her only recruiting Black players. Then, she goes out a brings in a Top 15 recruit for the '23 class and she is a token. Dawn is like any top notch coach. She manages her team to win games.

Regardless I'll be routing for her. We lose a lot after this year. Not sure who the replacements are.

I think Dawn is asking herself the same thing. It’s obvious she’s displeased with the way Feagin and Johnson are playing. I also think she’s frustrated that Cardozo lacks physicality under the basket as well as her lack of an intermediate shot.

The thing about Dawn is, she calls out organizations for not having enough people of one race employed and to much of the other. Then you look at her team and it’s even more lopsided than the businesses that she tries to call out.

....and that is why you reclassify and bring in someone that you think you can get ready to play.

Two different things entirely. She is talking about general statistical numbers in employment. You are talking about one specific sport where the participation of a certain race, (let's get real here), has dropped and their skill set can be duplicated and done better in many cases by European players. Actually, the percentage of American Black players has been virtually the same since the 1980's. What has changed is the international landscape. The way the European game has been set up with kids identified and put in academies primarily for basketball at an early age has worked better than the American model. As a result, European players take a significant amount of spots that American White players used to have.

With that being said, you also have to get a kid to come out of that limited talent pool. I know for a fact that Staley recruited Hailey Van Lith. She went to Louisville. You really think Staley wouldn't want Cameron Brink from Stanford? or Paige Bueckers from UConn? Staley has to compete with programs that have a richer tradition than ours for those players. We are coming and the pool of players that will be available to Staley will expand as she continues to win.

I think people try to use the numbers of football players and basketball players to discredit legitimate arguments in other areas. However, all you have to do is look at the coaching professions in those sports. It tends to indicate that we have trouble progressing even in areas that we have shown to have expertise. It sort of highlights the problems if you look deeper.

Cardosa needs to go to the Boston school of post play. I'm amazed at how ineffective Cardosa can be in the paint. She should be dominating.

She does some games. Consistency should be her focus
Yep. I think LA is also inconsistent because she tries to drive the lane like a small agile guard but she ends up with an offensive foul or some other kind of turnover. If she had an intermediate range shot like KITTS appears to have she wouldn’t need to drive the lane. I see KITTS playing a lot if she can consistently hit the intermediate range shot.
