I honestly think the difference were the portal kids. They weren't highly rated coming out of high school and they ended up at smaller schools. They came here to prove themselves against elite competition. A kid who plays with a chip on his shoulder instead of stars on his resume can make up for what they lack in speed, size, etc. How many portal kids does tater tech have? Exactly!!
Yeah, nobody did a better job than this staff at finding those guys and getting them into position to prove themselves.
