Coaching Change

He's done. There is no recovering from the fanbase fall out after Saturday.

He's going to have to have another UT/Clemson run to save his job and that just doesn't seem possible with this roster.

I don’t think they can afford to fire him after this year honestly.
Why?

Muschamp has been paid off. I don't get it. Are we that poor? How does Florida hire upteenth coaches? How did FSU get rid of Taggert after 2 years? Are not the SEC teams getting a big bump up in payouts for adding Texas and Oklahoma? You could be right because I know little and claim less. The incompetence in our hiring authorities at USC is legendary.

I hate to think of Tanner hiring our next football coach. He has already failed at this twice now. I doubt Napier last the season at Florida. Would not surprise me if Tanner contacts him.
No, Tanner would promote Shawn Elliott. 42-49 Shawn Elliott.

He won’t be fired by Tanner if they get two wins, which is possible, however let’s wait til the season is over. Right now they are 1-0 so they could possibly win 7 or 8.

Two years ago KitchenLabs couldn't stop talking about how amazing Beamer was and we were lucky to have him. I was curious if she was still supporting her man.

OH, I misread your post. I thought you said Lurker AND kitchenlabs etc....

My bad.

To be honest, I can't remember seeing her around recently, AT ALL.

I would assume she's staying on the pay side.

He's done after an ugly win over a team that is known for playing p5 teams close or even beating them?

You are absurd.

Napier already turned us down and chose to stay at a Southern Conference school for another year to wait for a better offer. May change after getting fired at Florida, but thankfully we don't have an opening.

The same 24/7 Fire Beamer crybaby said we would never get so lucky as to hire Napier. lol

We'll have an opening next year, imo. And we know our AD likes failed UF coaches.

Unless he Muschamps, he will be here next year. Whether people want to believe it or not, replacing him with someone that is perceived to be much better will be VERY difficult. And I say perceived, because everyone thought Napier was going to be a star and looked at him now. Same for Tom Herman, who turned us down too. Our options are VERY limited. That's just reality.

If we fire Beamer next year, some retired Head Coaches may want to come out of retirement. Laugh at that but, didn't Tanner hire Paul Mainieri who won a baseball national championship at LSU 15 years ago? There are "Mack Browns" out there. It's not like we have never done that before in football. :D

Manieri is another one that everyone is labeling a success from the beginning when we should definitely wait and see what happens.

It's rich in our history to hire former national champ head coaches (several came out retirement). Here are a few:

Paul Dietzel
Lou Holtz
Steve Spurrier
Paul Mainieri

I think we have to take a wait and see approach as the year goes on. If things are looking real shitty at the end of October I think the BOT needs to make moves and relieve Ray Tanner and get a new AD in place by the end of the football season and let that person determine how to proceed. I have zero faith in Ray Tanner not to **** up a 3rd football coaching search.
