Coastal Plain baseball starts next weekend!

I know this year was disappointing and that the dog days of summer are starting for sports.

But I'll be cheering on my Florence Redwolves and Jordan Gore all summer long.

Does anyone have information on any other Gamecocks that are going to be playing summer ball in the CPL?

PS: we also have a couple of taters on the team but they are my taters for summer

Are the Columbia blowfish in the coastal plains league? If not, what league are they in? I think they were supposed to start playing in the new ballpark in Lexington this weekend. It wasn't quite ready to open when I went by there on my way home from work Friday, but it may be ready by now?

Gore should still be a Gamecock and I like him. Watched him all last summer for the Redwolves and he won the league batting title. Hopefully he can work out some of his fielding issues this summer.

Blowfish are in the CPL I think the Redwolves open their season against them this Tuesday in Florence.

Well the guy with batting title got benched because he couldn't hit and now he is transfering.

Madison Stokes , Canaan Cropper , Banks Cromer are 3 gamecocks on the Blowfish roster.

He'll probably start batting .375 at North Greenville LOL.

If any of you guys in the Florence area haven't checked out the Redwolves at the FMU facility it's good baseball and a beautiful place to take in a game. Also cheap beer and food is a plus.

They used to play out by the airport and that place was so run down. At one point I think the league was talking about having to move the team but FMU stepped up and agreed to host summer ball.

I've also heard good things about the new home of the Blowfish. Stokes is a quality player he should help their lineup.

Gene Cone was with the Redwolves last year was hoping he would come back.

The thing I appreciated about Gore is he did display a lot of emotion & fire at times, perhaps the only Gamecock to do so. I wish him well as he continues his career.
