Tennessee also had an embarrassing early season loss, and I think there are some similarities in the trajectory of both programs. Going back to Dooley, but especially during the Butch Jones and Pruitt eras, those guys have always recruited very well, but seem to struggle to break out of a pattern of under achievement. Does anyone else think these outcomes are the direct result of a coaching staff that is weighted too heavily towards recruiting v. coaching?
