You can’t make this stuff up and as Gamecock fans we never need to because our football existence is in a parallel universe.... in no particular order
  • Our Senior QB who seems to regress in big games each year goes and lays an egg with at least 4 terribly thrown balls, 2 of which were touchdowns - loss of 10 points
  • BMac, Mr Innovative, channels his inner Roper and goes conservative with nary a slant, screen, swing pass, reverse or motion filled backfield when he’s got a legit 5 deep WR and 2 deep RB plus Joyner core at his disposal - loss of 10 minutes of clock time and who knows how many points
  • The D has some great stat about stopping the run on first contact but they tackle poorly all day and UNC rushes for almost 300 yards
  • Horn, our best DB has a ball go right through his hands allowing the second of those long drives to continue - at leaf a 7 point swing
  • Muk is running stride for stride with his WR and towers over the dude but inexplicably forgets to put up his hands to deflect the pass - at least a 4 point swing
  • Sam Howell, a guys we stopped recruiting because we were getting Hilinski outplays our senior QB with 400 starts
  • And number one, we don’t even get a chance to start bitching about a QB controversy because Jake (the guy who was going to break every Gamecock record this year), breaks his foot in the midst of trying to tackle the Safety on his second pick (Jake completed more passes to UNC’s Wilford than his #1 receiver Edwards) and suddenly Hilinski is QB1 and the future is now. The Jake Bentley era ends the exact opposite way that it began with 3 straight terrible games against Akron, Virginia and UNC and no big wins ever in his time here.
That is some crazy s#*t right there.

Now just stop talking, start tackling and beat CSU 73-6.
