I haven't been able to get much from GG or his family on how his visit with Lamont Paris went yesterday, but a few sources have given me a little insight.
I'm told the visit went about as well as it could've and Paris gave GG and his dad something to think about. It was originally thought they might make their decision before the AAU season begins in April, but now I'm told it's at least possible the meeting could make them delay that decision a bit. I would say the Gamecocks would benefit from a little more time for Paris to build that relationship up, and we're about to enter a dead period for basketball that lasts until April 7th. Paris didn't get a chance to meet GG's mother, and as I've noted before, she's a key aspect in his decision making. The hope would be that GG delays his decision long enough to get the whole family back on campus after the dead period ends.
