Rutgers: Linebackers coach Toby Neinas is no longer on staff, and there is expected to be some other shifting on the staff, a person with knowledge of the situation tells The Athletic’s Nicole Auerbach.

Ohio State: Urban Meyer will earn $100,000 as assistant athletic director of athletics initiatives and relations.

Troy: Auburn graduate assistant Cole Weeks has joined the Troy staff as an offensive assistant. Weeks spent two years at Auburn.

Wisconsin: Paul Chryst’s five-year contract has been renewed another year through 2023.

Iowa State: The school has confirmed to return of Tom Manning as offensive coordinator, as well as announced the addition of former West Virginia defensive backs coach Matt Caponi. ISU running backs coach Nate Scheelhaase will move to wide receivers, and previous wide receivers coach Bryan Gasser will not return. Quarterbacks coach Joel Gordon has been promoted to passing game coordinator, and special teams coach Joe Houston has moved to an off-field role.

Indiana: Fresno State offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer is expected to become offensive coordinator at Indiana, a person with knowledge of the situation tells The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman. DeBoer spent two years at Fresno State and previously served as offensive coordinator at Eastern Michigan and Southern Illinois.

Cincinnati: Offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Kansas offensive coordinator job, according to The Athletic’s Justin Williams.

Central Michigan: Some current assistants to Jim McElwain who have yet to be announced include Charlie Frye (QB coach), Tavita Thompson (TE coach) and Derek Frazier (defensive line), according to their Twitter accounts. CM Life first reported the additions.

Alabama: Former Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood will join the Alabama staff as offensive line coach, and Florida defensive line coach Sal Sunseri will join Alabama in an unspecific role, according to 247Sports and AL.com. Flood spent the last two years on the Atlanta Falcons staff working with Steve Sarkisian. Flood received a one-year show-cause penalty from the NCAA due to lack of oversight of a Rutgers program hit with various penalties, but that expired this past fall. Sunseri coached Alabama’s linebackers from 2009-11.

Tulane: Georgia graduate assistant Cody Kennedy has joined the Tulane staff as offensive line coach. Kennedy worked for new Tulane offensive coordinator Will Hall at West Georgia.

Cincinnati: Army defensive line coach Chad Wilt is joining the Cincinnati staff, Army head coach Jeff Monken tells the Times Herald-Record.

Iowa State: Tom Manning is expected to return to Iowa State as offensive coordinator, a person with direct knowledge of the situation tells The Athletic’s Max Olson. Manning spent the 2018 season as tight ends coach for Indianapolis Colts. He was the Cyclones’ offensive coordinator from 2016-17 and had coached with Matt Campbell since 2012. Old Dominion: In addition to three new assistants (see below), ODU has promoted quality control assistant Austin Shelton to assistant recruiting coordinator.

Colorado: Weber State tight ends Al Pupunu has joined the Colorado staff as tight ends coach. Pupunu spent the last two years at Weber State and previously worked at Idaho. In addition, Mel Tucker has added Georgia Southern athletic director Cymone George as recruiting coordinator and UCLA director of player personnel Geoffrey Martzen as director of player personnel.

Stephen F. Austin: Former Houston wide receivers coach Kenny Guiton has joined the SFA staff as outside receivers coach, and Oklahoma graduate assistant JaMarkus McFarland has joined SFA as defensive tackles coach.

Austin Peay: Mark Hudspeth has announced the following staff members: defensive line / associate head coach Marquase Lovings, offensive line coach / run game coordinator Eddy Morrissey, cornerbacks coach / defensive pass coordinator Dominque Bowman, wide receivers coach Chad Bumphis, safeties coach Mark Powell, director of football operations Jordan Frazier and director of recruiting Spencer Grubbs.
