How do we know authoritatively the authenticity of any of these numbers?

We really don't.

One thing is for sure. Us paying sellers more than some NFL qb's, buying a 5 star DL from A&M, and buying a qb from OSU would bury the myth that we're NIL poor.

I would think this data is secret for a reason. What's to prevent jealousy among these young guys, who have never had the big bucks, playing out on the field? When you are a pro, you are taken care of by the team. But in college? This is one of those times when we don't know what we don't know.

I can imagine a lot of jealousy amongst teammates. But I think it's more of a "if we don't HAVE to disclose then we wont".

Poor is relative
power 4 inflation
5 million NIL bucks ain’t what it used to be

Pointing out there's inflation doesn't suddenly negate those purchases though. ( us paying sellers more than some NFL qb's, buying a 5 star DL from A&M, and buying a qb from OSU)

Since none of us know the real NIL budget numbers, it's hard to really compare. But those hirings would be used to claim massive NIL investment if they were for an opponent, and we were so inclined to make that case.

Lurker continues to reach for anything possible to inflate our NIL prowess.

We've listened to the talking heads all season discuss teams with $25-30+mil budgets.

We're clearly not in any of those discussions.

We've watched our top players walk out the door into the arms of NIL agreements.

We're almost never in the discussion for big high school recruits like the usual suspects.

The heck with common sense and deductive reasoning - Lurker's convinced we could be right there as he hides behind the fact that actual NIL figures are not being released.

Wonder why he feels the need to do this?

Pardon me all
When I saw inflation- I do not mean in the traditional sense. This is “NIL Inflation”
The deep pocket big boy football fans have to keep up with their other rivalry team.

And I repeat make prediction - there is only so much fan dump money and when they do not see the results the pendulum will swing back

Agreed with both parts of your comment. That pendulum swing can't come fast enough for me.
