Who ya taking?
B.D. all the way. Koepka is becoming one of the biggest whiners on tour.

Especially Bryson. When he hits 40 he won't be able to maintain that muscle mass. Neither will last as long as Phil.Toss up. If I had to pick one it would be DeChambeau.
Call it a hunch, but I dont see either doing well long term. Both will battle staying physically fit 10 years from now and neither will make it as far as the senior tour. Nothing to base that on, just a feeling.
Both are kind of pricks that take offense easily. One complained loudly about the other taking too long to line up shots. Bickering went back and forth like 3rd graders. Neither one comes off looking good.Anyone know what started the feud?
Koepka called out Bryson for his slow play.Anyone know what started the feud?
Couldn't you say that about 99% of the golfers on the tour?Neither will last as long as Phil.
I wouldn't say that about guys like Jordan Spieth, Webb Simpson, Colin Morikawa, Corey Conners, Xander Schauffele or Scottie Scheffler. I think they will be playing golf competitively well into their 50s.Couldn't you say that about 99% of the golfers on the tour?
I believe that Koepka is clearly the more prickly of the two. His recent injury problems have probably wrought some frustration that has added to his irritability. Both are kind of pricks that take offense easily. DeChambeau's approach is more extreme - way more extreme. As a golfing method, it will have the shorter shelf life.Toss up. If I had to pick one it would be DeChambeau.

I don't think drivers sniping at one another or even a couple of fights led to the decline in NASCAR. I think a good back and forth rivalry and more "real" drivers would actually help NASCAR. The drivers seem to artificial now.If these two really do start to feud and then you throw in players like Patrick Reed, then Golf will become "Gentlemens Nascar". I truly think that has been a huge part of destroying Nascar. All the drivers fussing and even fighting in the pits. I dont see physical confrontation with golf but verbal jabs and all that will be bad for the game. People watch sports alot of time to get away from a world that lives to act that way. Once you start bringing that soap opera into a sport, people lose interest. I never cared for Nascar but really dont even know if it exists anymore because you never hear about it. I also wrote off the NBA because I was tired of the drama and prima-donnas of the sport anymore. Golf needs to make sure they avoid that same stuff. Its not quite strong enough outside of the Majors, to sustain people avoiding it because of the crap.
I was about to say the same...Some of these players should take note of the likes of Tiger and David Duval. Both tried to change their bodies through weights and extreme diets and didn't turnout so good...especially for Duval. I did hear Phil said he fasts for 36 hours a week to retune his body. At age 60 I should try that and see how that goes.DeChambeau's approach is more extreme - way more extreme. As a golfing method, it will have the shorter shelf life.
Koepka is also a gym rat. It has helped him to the heights he has attained, but he has sustained significant wrist - and now knee - injuries. His training regimen is taking him down the same road as Tiger, physically.
Obviously, that right knee has not been fully corrected. He needs to fix that with certainty or he's in for a lot more underachievement and futility. It's amazing how good he is while gimpy. I see him as the most gifted golfer of the era, a real athlete, but also a sullen, smoldering individual.
Great point. This is particularly true for a sport that depends on self reporting and class to give it the qualities that attract its fans. If it loses these qualities and becomes a sideshow, its popularity will crater. The personal interests of every player and fan is improvement on the course, not sharpening your blame game.If these two really do start to feud and then you throw in players like Patrick Reed, then Golf will become "Gentlemens Nascar". I enjoyed the battle between the auto companies. Chevy v Ford often depended on who you pulled for. That element has been completely done away with in the uniform, one-size fits all era of the sport.I don't think drivers sniping at one another or even a couple of fights led to the decline in NASCAR. I think a good back and forth rivalry and more "real" drivers would actually help NASCAR. The drivers seem to artificial now.
For the past few years I've been pulling for Koepka, but not last week. I don't care for his facial hair, so I broke down and rooted for Phil. Of course, anybody but Xander Schauffle as far as I'm concerned.
Does anyone like playing with Koepka? Seriously, he seems to chafe everyone. Maybe they should stick him and Reed together every tournament.I have to say though - it does make things interesting. I wouldn't want to see them chest-to-chest yelling in each other's faces, but trading barbs under their breath as they clearly show disdain for each other is fantastic.

Wasn't it DJ that he made that comment about? I remember it ticked off Rory also.I forget who Koepka was talking about a couple of months ago where he pointed out how many major wins he had himself and the one competitor he was asked about only had one. Something like that. Anyway, thought it was pretty classless.
I was thinking something similar to this watching Phil on the last 3 holes sunday. Golf had Jack and Arnie for a period that boosted its popularity, the 90's and 2000's had phil and tiger that really pushed golf into popularity. My worry is who does the game have now? DJ and Koepka are total tools and have the charisma of a wet towel balled up in the bathroom floor, Spieth and Rickie are great but neither is experiencing a lot of success right now. You saw it with Tiger winning the masters last year and Phil winning the PGA this year that fans are still drawn to them. Who is going to be the player/players that keep the game thriving? If these two really do start to feud and then you throw in players like Patrick Reed, then Golf will become "Gentlemens Nascar". A lot of the foreign players seem to be much more personable with the exception of Speith and a couple of younger players. Rory appears to have more fun when he is not playing up to par than Keopka and Reed do when they are playing well.I was thinking something similar to this watching Phil on the last 3 holes sunday. Interesting....but, honestly Phil is so old school, I wouldn't expect him to say otherwise.Phil seems to have enjoyed playing with him. He said so.

The Europeans actually like each other, and hang out!!!! The American go their own way, that is why Europe always winsI'm still basking in the glow of what he pulled off. Amazing!
