Dexter Wideman is the #1 prep school player on rivals. Good for him and us.

It's great but the efforts are always doubled for Carolina to a good player. Remember we signed him last year too. We have signed great classes every year for the past 4 or 5 years. Where are all these great players? Why don't we have a QB?
Who says we DON'T have a QB? Last I hard there were three or four guys at that spot battling to go into Spring as the starter. Why are people so worried about QB? Haven't we always found a capable guy there? We replaced Garcia with Shaw who did nothing but break most every record pertaining to wins in our record book, and we replaced him with Tompson who had just about the most statistically successful season ANY USC QB has EVR had! Don't you guys think maybe we can find some on to toss that rock who has a pulse?
Wideman is a perfect example of the kind of recruiting SUCCESS we have had in recent years and a perfect example of why this past season was an almost unavoidable short term fall off. Wideman was a HUGELY talented and coveted d lineman we wrestled away from FSU last year who could have helped us but barely fell short on grades! Is that our coach's fault? The coaches have to go Take their tests for them when they sign with us or something? Should we NOT take kids who aren't making all As for fear they won't be able to play day 1 of the first season? We wouldn't get more than 2-3 kids a class if we took a stance like that! We HAVE recruited very well, even at DL, but guys leaving early for the NFL and grades and a combination of factors also including a few who didn't work out talent wise left us in a tough spot this past year. This incoming class should more than make up for it and guys like Wideman, Sawyer, Lewis And BLACKSHEAR are huge talent upgrades! Health and grades aside, if we had just two of those guys on our roster last year I bet we win 2-3 more games and none of the fair we are fans have anything to talk about this offseason.

And we had TWO DL last-minute sick w/ the flu ! As far as winning even more that 7 games--for this 2015 year ?,
I absolutely believe last year was a ONE year slower speed for the Carolina Gamecocks !

I absolutely believe last year was a ONE year slower speed for the Carolina Gamecocks !
Yes, many people tend to ignore the fact that we won our bowl this year because it wasn't a major bowl. I don't remember a single prognosticator picking us to win that game. While I prefer an 11 win season, winning that bowl game was very nice indeed.
