I don’t think so. It was early in the season but it didn’t help.

Remember when taters had 2 votes on the football committee to help them get past bad loses and weak schedule. . Too bad they didn’t have the same effort for Bradnell ..
 
Getting in is based on the entire season, and so the bad USC loss 100% contributed to them not getting in, but was not 100% of the reason.

Look at Frank’s teams all those years. They generally got stronger at the end, and finished decently in the conference, but always has bad losses at the beginning of the year that cost them a shot.

Plenty of top seeds go to the nit to lose. One of the reasons NC didn’t except. Who wants to get up to play the NIT when you feel like you got the shaft on the tourney.
