Didn’t Spurrier try to hire R. Caldwell?

once or twice? I’m happy we have Wolford and think he’s doing a good job. He’s a good one! But we wondered in the woods for years without a good line coach. And it caused us to fall behind more. When Clemsin got Caldwell it really solidified their offensive side. Wish we had gotten him first.
Anyways I know we tried to hire him at some point. Wasn’t it Spurrier? Surely it wasn’t as far back as Holtz. By the way. I wonder how Lou is nowadays? Haven’t saw him on TV in a long time.

Pretty sure Holtz did try. Spurrier may have as well. I believe we even thought we had him hired from Vanderbilt at one point. Seems like he’s been a Tiger and always had something against the Gamecocks.
