Eric Sorenson is one of the premier writers/promoters/analyst for college baseball. Wrote for ESPN last year and now has articles on D1Baseball.

Below is a link to a pretty good article (Mar 5, 2015) with the following excerpt included:

THIS WEEK'S EIGHT FOR OMAHA[/B]
If the season ended today, here is who I think would be left standing in TD Ameritrade Park listening to another country music band during the opening ceremonies.
- TCU
- Virginia
- UCLA
- Florida
- Texas Tech
- South Carolina
- UCF
- Oregon

D1Baseball

How can that be? I've been told repeatedly by a panel of "experts" here that we won't even sniff a regional, much less Omaha.

In the interest of objectivity, however, I don't know how anyone can make that call the first week of March. Too much baseball to be played, possibility of injuries, etc. The author certainly seems to be a student of college baseball and has researched the subject thoroughly.

Interesting also was the section on attendance patterns around the country and the shift to the SEC recently as the leaders in annual attendance. That's probably partly a function of weather, but also of the emphasis on facilities and other resources the SEC places on baseball vs. other conferences. Good article and encouraging if nothing else.

Thanks for providing the link.

Don't forget the firing of Holbrook. We already have a list of replacements.

So say the guys that said anyone suggesting changes to the football staff was an idiot. Weird, Spurrier made changes. Guess he's an idiot, too.

This is a regular report that is usually updated weekly as the season goes on.
