ESPN Just Said This Was The Hump Game For The Lady G's.

ESPN's Kara Lawson stated that after losing to UNC last year in the Sweet 16 that we played tight tonight...but confident down the stretch and made the plays to win. Also stated that most teams get tight playing for a trip to the Final Four...but felt this might have been the game we needed to get over the hump and it wouldn't surprise her if we played well and very loose on Sunday. Hope she's right.
This team has some mountains to climb. Thank goodness for Tina Roy tonight. But we have got to get more consistent play from our guards from the outside if we are to have a chance to do anything "down the road."

But great job "Winning Anyway" tonight. Go Gamecocks!!

Told my son the same thing right after the game. That now the girls would prob relax & just play ball for the rest of the tournament.

That name on the front of those blue jerseys was def in our girls heads last night. Played tight & timid for most of the game, but were talented enough to make the plays we needed to. We'll beat FSU by 15-20.

I agree that the girls played tight and almost in a "wow, not again" mode through most of the game. I would think the FSU game could very well measure how far we've come. If it's a close win we will not go to the final four with a swagger so much as a...whew...UCONN is playing at a level that we have not seen or been to. That said....FSU and Notre Dame come 1st.
