Evidently Frank is a great practice coach.

Not only is Martin a great practice coach, he is also a great game time head coach too! Just give him another ten years and we will be playing in the 2032 NCAA Tournament! [Hint: Sarcasm Overkill]

They practice great (according to him). But it often doesn’t translate to games.
The problem with that observation by Martin is that they are practicing against each other, hence they look good against themselves. Playing an opponent is another matter.

I'd love to have a job that paid $3,500,000.00 a year that no one else wanted. Regardless of performance, I had a job because my employer could not replace me. That would be awesome!

A job with no goals or expectations and a boss that apparently doesn't give a rat's ass. It's time for Martin and Tanner to hit the road. This crap is getting old.

Does this only happen here ?
FB: This is probably the best team we've ever had.
BB: We practiced great.

Reminds me of....
How's the fishing today ?
Not so great, you should have been here yesterday.

It’s not that shocking. We all know that practice and games aren’t the same thing. There are lots of guys who practice well and then crumble in a game and guys who don’t practice overly well but have high performances in games. It’s all about how you handle pressure.

This team really seems to just be lost especially when playing from behind. They start pressing and make some of the most bizarre decisions in terms of passes or shot selection. Down 10 with 5 minutes to go doesn’t mean your big mean need to catch the ball mid lane and then work their way further from the basket and then throw up a jump shot.

It also seems like last night there were at least 2 more instances where following turnovers they just threw the ball down court without any attempt to see if anyone was breaking or the defense had not already reacted. That’s just poor decision making by a player who is confused to be in that position.

Speaking of practice, when are going to start bringing Stevenson off the bench in a 6th man role. Has started every game. Isn’t able to dribble and penetrate against pressure D, and is shooting 34% overall. Seems like he could benefit from a role change to maybe spark that touch. But I’m sure he practices well and does what Frank likes. Problem is, that doesn’t always translate to wins. And we need W’s

And according to Chad Holbrook, our team were college world series caliber bunters in practice too. Maybe the truth does not always lie in the eyes of the beholder....
