Ben Watson played football at Duke prior to transferring to UGA, where he majored in finance.

In 3 seasons at Georgia he had 65 catches for 852 yards and 6 TD.

He announced his retirement from the NFL (Saints) at the end of this season.

Went to Northwestern HS but transferred in from Virginia, didnt grow up a fan of in state either school.

Went to Duke and liked the academics but they only won 3 games his freshman year so he could not stand losing, so he wanted to transfer, and he wanted to go to either Virginia Tech or Georgia, but VT didnt throw the ball to its TE so he choose GA despite VT being his father's preferred choice

Went to GA under Doonan and when he was fired for Richt he almost transferred
but stayed and the rest is history
