--The Gamecocks are now 3-7 in their last 10 games against Power 5 opponents, losing their last six. Their average margin of defeat is 14.9 points and their average margin of victory is three. They've been out-gained in nine of those with the only team not getting more yards than South Carolina was Tennessee.

--South Carolina is 0-2 now in the SEC, which is the worst start to conference play since 2015 going 0-4 that year. Dating back to last season, they've lost four straight SEC games, the longest conference losing streak since Will Muschamp took over. They've only started 0-2 in the SEC twice over the last 10 seasons and five times since 2000.

--South Carolina had two turnovers Saturday, the first time they've had multiple turnovers against a Power 5 team since last year against Missouri, a span of 10 games. D.J. Wonnum had an interception, which was the first time a Gamecock defender has picked off a ball since that same Missouri game.

--The Gamecocks had 16 yards rushing Saturday and averaged less than a yard per carry. It's the fewest yards they gained on the ground since picking up zero rushing yards in 2003 against LSU.

--Javon Kinlaw picked up another sack this week and has four on the year. He's on pace for 12 sacks, which would be good for second-best in school history. It'd be one shy of tying Jadeveon Clowney's school record of 13.

--Joseph Charlton is averaging 48.9 yards per punt this year, averaging over 53 in eight yesterday. If that holds, he break his own school record he set last season.

--Bryan Edwards finished yesterday with six catches for 113 yards and a touchdown. He moves past Alshon Jeffery into second in school history with 184 receptions, third place (passing Sterling Sharpe) with 2,540 career yards and is tied for second all-time in receiving touchdowns with 19, four away from tying the school record.

He needs to average 2.9 receptions and 62.75 yards per game the rest of the season to tie both school records.

--Ernest Jones (93) and TJ Brunson (87) are on pace for over 85 tackles apiece. It'd be just the second time since at least 2004 (as far back as South Carolina's publicly archived stats go back) two players had at least 85 tackles in the same season. The last time was 2017 (Skai Moore and Brunson)

--South Carolina had 16 drives Saturday, averaging 4.1 plays and 15.8 yards per drive. Half of the drives were three-and-outs with five of those going for negative yardage. Of the 16 drives, 12 gained 10 yards or less with one being a one-yard touchdown drive.

--Here's how the participation report shakes out:
Offensive starters: Ryan Hilinski, Chavis Dawkins, Rico Dowdle, Kyle Markway, Shi Smith, Bryan Edwards, Sadarius Hutcherson, Jordan Rhodes, Donell Stanley, Jovaughn Gwyn, Dylan Wonnum
Defensive starters: Kobe Smith, Javon Kinlaw, Aaron Sterling, D.J. Wonnum, Ernest Jones, T.J. Brunson, Jaycee Horn, Sherrod Greene, R.J. Roderick, J.T. Ibe, Israel Mukuamu
