First Women’s AD and gymnastics coach, Helen Timmermans has died

Saw this in the obits. I know nothing about her but clearly she loved the Gamecocks and worked a full career in the Athletic Department. Well done good and faithful servant.

Am interested if anyone knows her story

RIP and appreciate her contributions. In honor of her legacy, Carolina should re-institute women's gymnastics at the varsity level. We are in the SEC now, after all.

I graduated in 1976. In 1974, I asked this very cute coed out, and found out on our date that she was on the SC gymnastics team. Until then, I had no idea we even had a team -I believe that it was a "club level" sport.
