Gone too soon. The Gamecock Baseball family has lost a beloved member in Ryan Fischer. I'm heartbroken.
I've known Ryan for the better part of 10 years. He was the Student Manager during the National Championship years, and was Equipment Manager at Football and then Baseball. His smile was contagious as was his positivity.
I send my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Ryan's wife Liz and his entire family. I pray for their peace and comfort during such a difficult season in life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Founders Park, University of South Carolina Baseball Stadium, 431 Williams Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
The family has requested that memorials be made to the Ryan Fischer Student Manager Scholarship Fund. Donations should be sent to University of South Carolina Educational Foundation in Memory of Ryan Fischer, Rice Athletics Center, 1304 Heyward Street, Columbia, SC 29208.
