Freddie, give us a NC snow report

We just spent the last two weeks at our new (to us) vacation home in Sylva and it was like Springtime. Came home yesterday and now it snows. And my wife was complaining about wanting it to be cold the whole time we were there.
You can see snow on the peaks higher up toward Linville and Spruce Pine.
You are correct, I drove to Woodlawn less than an hour ago and the snow on the mountains in Spruce Pine was beautiful.
A couple of inches of freezing rain/ snow mix here on the Wilkes/Iredell County line. Kinfolk in Newland got 3x more.
I haven't eaten there in a long time. We use to hold meetings there for work and naturally we ate there - great food. But, I've been retired for eight years and haven't eaten there since I retired. However, you just jingled my bells to remind me that my wife and I need to eat there again.
I went to pigeon forge last week and it was around 70. Didn’t get snow me and my family got Covid.

I lived in Morganton back in the 80s. We got about 20 inches one night. Do you remember that Freddie?
I can't remember that much snow in the '80s but I remember that much during the Blizzard of '93. We could have gotten that much in the '80s but I just don't remember for sure. We've gotten some big snows that's for sure in the '80s but I can't remember 20" in one night. That is certainly not to say it didn't happen but I just can't remember. But, I'm a few days removed from being 77 so there are a lot of things I don't remember.
