Friday a.m. update - FootballScoop is reporting that McClendon to Oregon is a done deal. We're working to confirm on our end.
Thursday update: We've been told that Bryan McClendon has had communication with Oregon about the wide receivers job. We've also heard that the Ducks have talked with a bunch of candidates about the spot; McClendon is one of those.
McClendon interviewed in the offseason with the Pittsburgh Steelers job that ultimately went to Ike Hilliard, and he also turned down at least one other NFL opportunity.
Last we heard, there was not anything official here with Oregon, but there are certainly behind the scenes indications that it's a strong possibility. There seems to be a plan in place within the program if it does happen.
We'll let everyone know what we hear.
