Sellers is not a good quarterback and Beamer is not a good coach. Another losing season.
And the backup is riding the pine while our starter struggles versus Old Dominion. Great coaches we got!
So if Sellers goes down we put the kicker in at QB?The backup did not look good last year at Auburn.
So if Sellers goes down we put the kicker in at QB?
At this point 3 wins would be good. Hell even Vandy doesn't look beatable
I'd like to see Loggins start rotating QBs to give the defenses a little more to think about at least in the short run.
The backup QB can't throw the ball. All he can do is run the ball so you're not giving the defense anything else to look at.
He's a RS Senior who got beaten out by Sellers.Ashford is marginal. However, he's also a RS Senior who threw the ball around for Auburn in 2022. Mediocrity by committee.
No. They just don't want to play for our coaches. And who would blame them? Are we completely priced out of the quality SEC QB at this point?
He couldn’t look any worse than our starting QB did. This dude short hopped a 8 yard throw…..The backup did not look good last year at Auburn.
A cringe moment for sure... much like his throwing accuracy while on the move. A mobile QB that can't throw while mobile... not good. That was my take anyway. He couldn’t look any worse than our starting QB did. This dude short hopped a 8 yard throw…..

We tried that with Juice and he left to go play with a better QB.This is silly. You can get anyone you want to come to Columbia if you have the money.

He also threw the ball several feet over a leaping 6'5" Nyck Harbor's extended arms. Harbor took a hard hit and came up limping. Sellers had a panic look in the pocket. He was searching to escape the pocket instead of going through his progressions. He might be good at running the option. He looked so out of place in the pocket. He couldn’t look any worse than our starting QB did. This dude short hopped a 8 yard throw…..
So it's your theory that Wells left money on the table to go play for Ole Miss? How Much?
The key point you keep missing is that he wanted to go play for a team with a bunch of openly paid studs.
I still think Sellers has potential. I just hope that Loggains can bring it out of him.He also threw the ball several feet over a leaping 6'5" Nyck Harbor's extended arms. He was our highest paid player. We weren’t being cheap with him.
And he said he left because of the QB situation…
I would not be surprised to see Kiffin at Florida next season. Their fans want him BAD.You and I both know Wells didn't take some big pay cut to pay for Ole Miss. It probably was the opposite.
If it was close to similar, then yes -- going to play for a publicized high paid team with the potential to win it all makes total sense in terms of both environment and NFL status.

Did we win? Asking for everyone that only reads this board.
I had to listen to Todd, so I'm still not exactly sure.Did we win? Asking for everyone that only reads this board.
Yep and there just isn’t as many quality lineman available these days and the big dogs get them all. I don’t see big guys playing even at high school level.Ashford is marginal. However, he's also a RS Senior who threw the ball around for Auburn in 2022. Mediocrity by committee.

Triple Option???The backup QB can't throw the ball. All he can do is run the ball so you're not giving the defense anything else to look at.
Juice Character/Ethics are in question. We tried that with Juice and he left to go play with a better QB.
Just the kids 1st Start. Give the kid some time to develop. He also threw the ball several feet over a leaping 6'5" Nyck Harbor's extended arms. Harbor took a hard hit and came up limping. Sellers had a panic look in the pocket. He was searching to escape the pocket instead of going through his progressions. He might be good at running the option. Cue the old-timers (like me) who remember barely escaping The Citadel to start that fabulous 1984 season.Ha. Yes.
For those that didn't watch the game though, it's hard to describe how bad a victory can look.
But we are 1-0.
A look at the PFF numbers shows on Cason Henry with decent score. When the guys are in the 50's and low 60's against a non power 4 team.\
