Gotta ask: Since when is giving up 2 hits, in the first 5 innings, Almost a No Hitter???

Don't know who said it but they should have focused on our offensive out put. Only giving up 2 hits in five innings is a good outing but don't try to make it more than it was. A ball "almost" hit over the fence is usually nothing more than a very loud out. We won.....next opponent.

Normally I agree. The only thing i can think of that would justify a statement like that is if each hit should have been an easy out. Say something like an outfielder loses the ball in the sun and it drops right in front of him. Never like that being recorded as a hit but they usually are.
Otherwise, not knowing who said it, it's probably just a comment being made by a guy who likes to hear himself talk... so he rambles on consistantly saying stupid stuff. Oh wait, I think I know who that might be.

You are absolutely right about the bloop hit thing. Have seen that happen more than once. Agree with the rest of it too but I won't name any names either.

The blooper hit doesnt bother me quite as much as a sky high fly ball when the defensive player has pleanty of time to get under it but cant see it so it hits the ground. I guess it depends on who is keeping the books because I've seen it recorded both ways... but too often a hit. That's just wrong imo.
But the blooper does suck for the pitcher for sure.
