What we have learned from every government shutdown is that life pretty much goes on without a hitch. Yes, the media finds that one government worker who claims they haven't been able to get their cancer meds. But, in general, the Dems present government shutdowns as apocalyptic when for most folks if you didn't watch the news, you wouldn't know one was going in.

This economic shutdown has been calamitous for many folks.

And, I do agree that the dem response between the 2 is quite different. Even though the vast majority of people go on unaffected by government shutdowns, the Dems treat them as the end of mankind. They've been rather cavalier about the current economic shutdown.

My biggest problem with Rush in this is that he wants people to feel sorry for him & overlook his unlawful behavior while he was pushing for others to be "sent up".
