What is the best month to bottom fish the Gulf Stream ?

Usually you do not go to the Gulf Stream to bottom fish. Much of it is done offshore well before the ledge. You troll for fish in the Gulf Stream. Tons of boats out of Charleston and Myrtle Beach go each day when the water gets a little warmer attracting bait fish to the reefs. I would thing mid-May through October would be a good time.

You typically dont bottom fish in the gulf stream,, you thpically fish out 40 miles or so,, in the fingers of the stream.. The water is typically way too deep and the current is way too strong to bottom fish out there.. Best times of the year to fish a head boat is about june.. Best weather and fishing..
