Has RT been fired yet...

I researched all BOT members and I only remember 2 or 3 that weren't alum. That means USC alum are fine with us being a dumpster fire. Or they know nothing about sports and only numbers.

What I am trying to say is....and yall make fun of a post is putting stuff like this on here is not going to get anyone fired. if that is the case we would have coaches that would only last one year!

Ok, let's say he gets fired/resigned tomorrow. Let's here the list of names for his replacement. I don't have a clue who I would pick.

I used to think Tanner's legacy will be leaving us worst in the SEC in major men's sports. Now it may be getting us kicked out of the SEC as deadweight when serious conference expansion begins!

I've heard Brad Edwards name mentioned. From seeing his work at Newberry I say NO!

Please, no. If there is a change we need a young, professional AD. Not an old player, not an old coach, but a young AD that has had his whole career in this era. This era where the top skills are revenue production, fund-raising, marketing, facilities upgrades, etc.

Contrary to the popular saying, in sports, money can buy happiness.

Ray was a risky appointee for the a/d role. He had his chance, he failed. He continues to….. fail….. yet, he is still here!!!!! This ladies and gentlemen is what’s wrong with our program.

That is actually whathe is very good at.....raising large funds from major donors and working the legislature to raise our athletic department spending cap to build shiny new things. And is without a doubt why his job is pretty safe until his contract expires within a couple of years.

One would think the product you put on the field would have a tremendous impact on donations. I'm sure Ray received some major tailwind from the Spurrier era but that's got to be wearing thin with the continued lack of success with the the men's programs.

Just out of curiosity - Do you happen have any idea where to access the Gamecock Club yearly reports online? Below is the annual for the University but no real detail on the GC revenue and donation flow.

Major donors are different than the average donors. They tend to give more on need than on-the-field success....more of "we have to keep up with the Jones's" type mentality.

Doubt you can find much detail regarding donations online due to the Financial Privacy Act. Also, most of the larger donors don't necessarily want the public recognition.....some do.
