got left out of the dance.....

That year, SC finished the last week of the season by beating both Notre Dame and Marquette....finishing the season 21-8 and got left out....

Of course, the NCAA committee took both Notre Dame (17-11) and Marquette (19-10), then the committee also had some bull-crud reasons and the ESPN\CBS crews were incredulous that SC was left out in favor of two teams they just finished drilling in the last week.

The moron then actually told the CBS crew that SC was left out because they lost to UK at Rupp and Duke earlier in the year.......

Very much a moron, since we didn't play Dook that year.

In fact, since leaving the ACC, MBB has played the Devils only once, and that was in a holiday tournament in Hawaii a few years ago.

That might have been the year we went to the NIT and played Wake Forest up in Winston Salem during the tourney. That was the only time we've faced the Deacons on the hardwood since leaving the ACC.
