Really hoped this would be a situation where we would be dominating a really bad Vandy team and winning by two or three scores at halftime. I still feel like we will win. We got beat on two deep balls by Vandy, crapped the bed on a fourth down in the red zone, and have not looked like a team that is making improvements. I really want Shane to succeed and feel like he needs time but my goodness Vandy is historically bad and this is a game that should not be in question.

sad we can't even blow out Vandy anymore at home, this is the same team that lost to East Tennessee State 23-3. we are worse than ETSU

You are 100% correct. We're playing a HISTORICALLY bad Vanderbilt team, and at this point the outcome is still in doubt. If you have things you need to do today , I can understand leaving now.

It’s certainly what most of us sane individuals who understand what we are looking at are seeing. God I hope we can figure some things out. I would love the Dean Smith basketball four corners approach on offense right now. Not sure what else we can do if we struggle with Vandy.

I will say this, if you’re not interested in watching Gamecock Football that’s on you.

Were the upper decks empty?

Even though they are terrible team too and this game really doesn’t mean a whole lot, I got suckered into enjoying the game after we looked really good on our first 2 drives. When will I ever learn??
Yea, I had to retract a text to my son. Told him Satterfield actually called two nice scoring drives. Guess what, it works, so we threw those play progressions in the trash. Something about that sure seems familiar.

I have no idea what you mean. I’m interested in watching Gamecock football but not a train wreck. Are you saying it’s “interesting” to you to watch us lose to Vandy?
I agree we are at least 5 years from being relevant. We don't have 1 player that would make Georgia's practice squad.

I’m saying you should never give up on the idea we can become something, someday! You hoped we would dominate here? What have we shown at all this season that would support that idea?

Good lord yes. I did think that we would dominate a historically bad Vandy team. I know we have a very long way to go and I did not think that we would get more than four or five wins this season, but my goodness do you really think that being down to Vandy in the fourth quarter is not surprising? I guess that I am really surprised that this game has shown we are much much worse than I thought we were.. Anyone who questions my loyalty can go pound sand. I was going to games in the zero/1 win seasons and have seen a lot of bad football. But I really thought we were a step above the worst of the conference. Clearly we are not.

You can pound sand my friend, we won! You should be happy and realize someone finally made a smart decision and removed Doty from the game! I don’t care about your 0-21 stories. I’ve been a Gamecock since birth, 1985 to be exact. I didn’t have a choice and I’m sure you didn’t either! You shouldn’t give up because “you don’t get the results you want!”

Guess you missed that then.
Oh I watched it from the parking lot. Drunk and happy. Winning the game does not negate any of my comments or criticisms. I’m glad we won.
But being Vandy by a point is pretty sad.
Sorry if you disagree. I’m signing off for the night.

What a dumbass question. I’d say the guy fully supported the team just by showing up for the game. You rah-rahs often make yourselves sound like idiots with your comments. But, hey, you’re free to make them so knock yourselves out.
I think the dumbass idiot looks back at you in the mirror every morning. If we as fans don't want the team t quit, why do we quit on them?

I'd rather a one point win over Vandy than a six point loss to Vandy. It was ugly, but after being served many 'dinners of foul gruel' over the years -- I'll take the dubs where I can. Enjoy your night!
