I really do not understand the respect that UGA and ARK are given

Alabama opens as the favorite to win the title, followed by Auburn and Georgia. Vegas doesn’t have much love for the SEC East, which represents the four biggest longshots to win the 2015 title.

Alabama: 5/2
Auburn: 15/4
Georgia: 5/1
LSU: 8/1
Ole Miss: 8/1
Tennessee: 8/1
Arkansas: 10/1
Missouri: 12/1
Mississippi State: 12/1
Texas A&M: 15/1
Florida: 18/1
South Carolina: 25/1
Kentucky: 75/1
Vanderbilt: 100/1

I can't understand Tennessee at 8-1. I'm just not buying this great resurgence. They seriously could start the year 3-4 or even 2-5. Too much hype coming off a mediocre season.

How does Florida have better odds than us? Our positions should be flipped.

Georgia probably has higher odds because they are expected to win the East....but I wouldn't take that bet! I agree that Arkansas is too high as well. They finished strong last year but that doesn't necessarily guarantee success this year. Tennessee is too high also.....their signature wins last year were against 7-6 South Carolina and 7-6 Iowa.

I actually believe A&M might be a little low. John Chavis is running the defense down there and that has to be a big upgrade. Much like with us though, recent past performance is weighted far more heavily than any potential upgrades in coaching staff or new talented players.

Georgia and Arky have my respect. They are seriously committed to running the ball and they both do it well.

Both have very good OLs and stud RBs...Georgia has talent everywhere and the best DC they have had in years going into his second year

Arky's defense will be better and they will be tough to beat because they shorten the game running the ball

It could something to do with the East being one of the worst divisions in CFB last year. Missouri, who hasn't won a conference title since 1969 (sound familiar?) and they have won the division twice in a row. That's how weak it is.

Missouri was a solid team in 2013, they were prettly loaded on defense and offense. They benefited from their schedule last year, the couple of teams they played with a pulse blew them out. They couldn't even score on UGA last year.

It will be interesting to see what kind of changes Shottenheimer will make to the UGA offense, they still have lots of talent and maybe the best RB in the country w/ no QB.

UGA has a deep and experienced ol with two stud rbs behind it and possibly three if Marshall gets back on the field.

Clemson fans that dont understand why UGA gets respect - Please go watch your game against them last year. Pay particular attention to the 4th quarter.

Do you really think OP doesn't get it or he's just slyly pointing out our Vegas odds are not good?

The East is bad again this year. The window of time for us to take advantage is closing though. Tennessee on the rise, Georgia on solid ground, Mizzou not going away, Florida will be back in time.

Esso, if you were not in the ACC and had to play them every year, you would understand why the are so respected.

But we are I. The ACC and last time we played the Vols we spanked them . Certainly you can understand how that feels after you did it 6 times , oops I mean 5 times in a row to my tiggers

what does TN have to do with it?
