A lot to unpack here.
First, I've payed plenty of attention to the hirings of coaches over the years. And Ray had the biggest head start in the country and still chose to outsource to a hiring firm.
As far as Muschamp winning the most games in three years, what's being held against him is only one of those games came against a ranked team -- which proved to be vastly overrated. And Spurrier beat the traditional powers of the East when the East was still pretty good. Can he "do it?" Has he "peaked?" Who knows? I hope he can. But I do know he hasn't out-schemed or outcoached another team to a big win yet. And he still hasn't beaten Kentucky and his closest game against Clemson was a 21 point loss.
I haven't said a single thing about how Ray should have handled Frank prior to this point. You're making a straw man argument there.
Chad wasn't going anywhere after failing to make the playoffs in year 3? At South Carolina? Why? And that's not Ray's fault? How is that?
Should we not expect improvement in how our Athletic Department runs in this day and age? If not, why should we even care about wins and losses? What's the point?
