Offensively with SC State and Charlotte that would be the icing on the cake for Satt… but I don’t think that will happen

So the DC is doing a good job. After Georgia cram the ball down our throats , He gets a passing grade. I don't think he did so good. I agree about the OC, But the DC was not any good from what I saw.

We need a new head coach who has at least been the head coach of a flag football team. Not this guy.

If they struggle with Charlotte and SC State…. Then I say throw in the towel. It would be time to just put the football program out of his misery and dismantle it. With our happy-go-lucky A/D Tanner and BOT we are almost at that point. :( No decent Coach will accept a job and work for these clowns.
I will always bleed garnet and black and hate talking like this. But those people are a cancer to our football program.
They should beat those two teams. But if we lose or are even close with Vandy or Mizzou then it’s time for coaching staff changes.

This year has been massively disappointing. I was actually really excited for the first time in almost a decade and now just waiting for the end of another miserable season. I would love to see SC join the ACC. This program has 0 chance of competing in the SEC. Its the reality now and with the exception of a couple seasons it has always been that way. Who knows about Beamer. I think he brings an excitement for the program but so did Ron Zook at Florida. It was a risky cheap hire at SC and those kind of hires rarely work out and especially at SC. The 2nd year was Muschamps best and I'm certain Beamer 2nd will not be remotely as good. It is what it is.

We haven't looked great but have played a tough schedule. 1-2 was pretty much expected but we've not looked competitive.

It's one thing to get beat. Getting manhandled is another.

I believe the Georgia dominance on offense, especially the physicality aspect, was more a matter of "Jimmys and Joes". Their athletes are off-the-charts better than what they were up against.

"If Beamer and Company Struggle...."

Here's what will probably happen, the boards will be flooded with fire Satterfield, fire Tanner, and bench Rattler,
Beamer and Co will come out with the speech #77, "we saw improvements, and we saw areas that we will continue to work on, but right now we're at 3-2 and most of our goals are still in reach"
More bitching on boards, but essentially nothing will happen.

Agreed. But one has to think that if the offense continues like this, things will be happening behind the scenes that aren't made public.

Satterfield could seal his fate in week 7 or 8, and not be let go till the off-season, imo.

It doesn't really matter. I'm almost 72 years old and have been following this sport since I was about 10. I'm now reduced primarily to watching people comment on the games and responding to them more than to the games themselves. I've not been blessed to have that bigtime experience and I never will be. Resignation brings a kind of peace.

Ward, I mean this with the utmost sincerity. I've read a lot of your posts on here and they're always thoughtful and well-worded. You seem like a cool dude. I really enjoy reading some of the back-and-forth between you and some of our less literate posters. Most of the time, the jabs are subtle enough that they don't even realize they've been eviscerated. I hope one day we can re-visit the joy of watching our team go and and compete like we did during that small stretch of near-greatness under Spurrier.

I appreciate your post and share your hopes. I think one issue is that a man develops so many other concerns as a father and grandfather. Interests also. It's just not as high on the priorities list as it used to be. I'll be ready to enjoy it if and when it gets good.

When I am standing at the gates of heaven, I doubt I will be asked how the Gamecocks did last season so it’s back in perspective for me
