I feel better about this team, and the Beamer era, after tonight. We played advantageous football, had chances, but didn’t quite have the talent to capitalize. And that’s about right for this team right now.
But Doty looked much improved. The team didn’t quit and played with high energy for all four quarters. And they scored a touchdown against that UGA defense.
I truly believe UGA has a claim to the best team in the country (unfortunately). Right now, we’re far from that. But looking through a lens of reality — I liked what I saw. I think we will beat a team or two this year that I didn’t previously expect.
