In big games Jake looks most comfortable

When we're down big and the opponent has called off the dogs (pun intended). Just an observation. He just plays too tight and erratic early when the game is close in these big matchups. There are exceptions-Michigan last year-but in general he's not a big game pressure qb.

It's not the coaching, I'm convinced of that. Werner is one of the best and if he can't do anything with him then who can? He just doesn't have the leadership qualities a 3 year starter should have.

Which is why I didn't put all our offense issues on Roper. I concur 100% with your assessment on our QB. I will also say I was happy Roper was replaced.

Roper just because way too predictable at times. I don't think you would have seen him run the trick play that we scored on, but you can't run any offense with a QB that is extremely limited.
