How do you cancel a bowl game? I mean dang they could start the game tomorrow at 11am on ESPNU or something.
I wonder if there is some kind of insurance policy for canceled bowl games?
I'm betting because most hotels will be preparing for the taters and ND and have been booked starting tomorrow.
Screw the schools, I feel bad for the fans who won't get refunds.
Shows just how irrelevant bowls are now. Nothing more than a post season scrimmage with some goodie bags for everyone.
Hotels will not be a problem in the DFW metro area unless ND and Clemson each bring about 100,000 fans to this game. Cancelling a bowl game, even a "meaningless" one, just makes no sense.
I'm guessing the teams probably were scheduled to stay in the same team hotels as what BC and Boise St were staying in. Who knows what the real reason was why they couldn't make it up.
I can’t see why they didn’t just schedule it for noon the next day. Most people had hotels for that night given how far travel was. Might’ve had to refund a few who couldn’t stick around but better than the whole dang thing.
Hate it for the kids of both schools....especially the seniors.
BC is giving those who bought through their ticket office full refunds....plus free tickets (equal to the number purchased for the bowl game) to a game next year.
Heck, that should be season tickets at BC
