Is there any difference between SECN+ and SEC Alternate channel?

I tuned in to the SEC Alternate today to catch the baseball game. There was nothing on that channel on one of my TVs. I went down stairs and tuned into the Alternate Station and got a WBB game which was the same game being played on the regular SECN channel. What gives? Seems like someone else asked this question a while back and I can't remember the answer.

Thanks in advance.

"SEC Network is a live 24-hour television network. SEC Network Alternate is an overflow television channel. It is not live 24 hours a day. Content only appears on the channel on occasion when games overlap. SEC Network+ provides thousands of additional digital only events to fans through the ESPN App on smartphones, tablets and OTT streaming devices and on computers via ESPN.com. SEC Network+ is not a television channel."

SECN+ is the online streaming service. You can pretty much catch any SEC event on there.

Thanks very much! I've just learned a lot and previously didn't understand the distinction.

All I know is that the SEC alternate Channel is usually just that off air puzzle looking thing and when it does work the picture is about half the size of the screen
