Tonight we have the 17th ranked class in the nation. Tonight we have the 8th ranked class in the SEC. Tonight the 12th ranked class in the SEC is ranked 24th in the nation. That is 50% of the top 24 recruiting classes in the nation. Five SEC teams rank ahead of the first ACC team found in the rankings. You have to follow the list all the way down to #60 before you find the 12th ranked ACC team, by then every member of the SEC is already on the board.

No, we don't have an easy path to the top of the college football world, but when we get there we will know that we have earned that honor. We are part of a dog eat dog conference. How we put even one team in the playoffs every year is an almost unbelievable feat, but as recently as two years ago we put two teams in the National Championship game.

In our conference, any time you have a team in any sport rise to the top it is a reason for celebration. If you are good enough to be the best in the SEC, then you are good enough to be the best in the nation. It truly is a daunting task to be the best in the SEC. What doesn't break you will only make you stronger. Go Gamecocks!
