9 p.m. update (From Chris)
Another new offer out on the OL - Georgia's Steven Nahmias, who also visited today.
6 p.m. update (From Wes)
*** Rock Hill (S.C.) tight end Robbie Ouzts made it in for his visit as well. We haven't yet caught up with Ouzts for a reaction on the visit (he doesn't do many interviews), but we are efforting that at this time.
*** Orangeburg Wilkinson class of 2021 wide receiver Nahshawn Hezekiah is a new name to watch on the South Carolina recruiting radar and he made it in for the junior day too. Bryan McClendon was by his school on Friday and those two have started to develop a strong relationship.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Hezekiah visited for three games this past season and loves South Carolina. An offer would go a long way with him. He's a big, athletic kid and Carolina wants to see him in camp before offering. North Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Coastal Carolina are all also involved here.
*** South Carolina has offered Oceanside Collegiate class of 2023 OL Monroe Freeling.
Freeling is already 6-foot-7, 240-pounds and is someone the Gamecocks are very high on. Should be a highly recruited prospect when his time comes and Carolina is in early, obviously, as his firs offer.
This is a definite name to know.
4:40 Update (From Chris)
*** South Carolina extended an offer to a pair of underclassmen offensive linemen who were on campus today.
The first was Georgia's Mykel Williams, who really liked the trips, the facilities, and Eric Wolford. He's listed as a DE, but South Carolina seems to like him as an OL.
The staff also offered 2022 DE Gunner Givens out of Virginia, another listed DE that South Carolina likes early as an OL.
*** Dothan (Alabama) 2021 RB Jaylin White made the trip, I have confirmed.
*** Just FYI, here's our update on Jordan Burch. Gamecock DT commitment Alex Huntley made another trip to Carolina today.
