So far we've got a few sleepers on this staff, Hicks was lights out Sunday! Nice to have a few guys that you can count on for long relief if one of the starters is struggling, been a while since we've had that and it will make a difference.

Mahoney has always had grit and determination. He would make a great sunday starter. not exactly answering your question!

He didnt have a great game against Clemson or get much run support, but hes projected as a 1st round pick.

If he's behind because he didnt play summer or fallball, I'd probably hold firm for now. Being the Friday guy can be tough on any of them. I suspect he'll come around. Would have been nice for him to come out the gate firing on all cylinders, but it also may have been asking too much. That's coming from a guy who likes to see guys play summer and fall. Not sure I want to toy with our bench right now. They are looking good
